  75.                     These notes describe the IRIX Compiler Execution
  76.                     Environment (_c_o_m_p_i_l_e_r__e_o_e), version 7.2 from
  77.                     Silicon Graphics, Inc.  The IRIX Compiler EOE
  78.                     contains compiler execution utilites such as _r_l_d
  79.                     and those base compiler libraries supplied as
  80.                     DSOs (dynamic shared objects).  DSOs are
  81.                     discussed in the _d_s_o(_5) man page.  The IRIX
  82.                     Compiler EOE supports MIPSpro compilers in
  83.                     either 64-bit, 32-bit, or high performance 32-
  84.                     bit (n32) compilation modes.
  85.  
  86.                     This subsystem contains exactly the same runtime
  87.                     libraries as were released for _c_o_m_p_i_l_e_r__e_o_e and
  88.                     _c__e_o_e on IRIX 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 respectively.
  89.                     Patch 2016 contains the corresponding runtime
  90.                     libraries with both bug fixes and new features
  91.                     for MIPSpro 7.2.

  146.                     (_c_o_m_p_i_l_e_r__e_o_e) includes these subsystems:

  148.                     NOTE: The runtime libraries (DSOs) in these
  149.                     subsystems are identical to what was shipped on
  150.                     the corresponding IRIX releases and are provided
  151.                     as a convenience. However, the subsystems will
  152.                     appear as upgrades under inst, because changes
  153.                     have been made to certain non-runtime library
  154.                     files.

  157.                     fixes you must install the subsystems from patch
  158.                     2016 on top of this image.

  226.                     time, the subsystems marked ``default'' are
  227.                     those that are installed if you use the ``go''
  228.                     menu item.  To install a different set of
  229.                     subsystems, use the ``install,'' ``remove,''
  230.                     ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  231.                     customize the list of subsystems to be
  232.                     installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

  238.                     product (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view
  239.                     the release notes on your screen.

  241.                     If you have a graphics system, select ``Release
  242.                     Notes'' from the Tools submenu of the Toolchest.
  243.                     This displays the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser
  244.                     for the online release notes.

  246.                     Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
  247.                     information on options to this command.
